What makes a man a man?
The world today has many definitions is a real man. In some parts of society, a man is one who is respected and that will go to any length, including the violence to prove his manhood. Other people in society by how measure manliness alcohol can drink, how many sexual encounters has had and how much money does.
What these things really mean? Are these real things real measures of manhood? What makes a man a man? I have asked over the years and have watched the men in my life that I have influenced for good.
There have always been the same quality in all of these men. One, helped me believe in myself and that I could make a difference. All of them were very generous with their time and was eager to help others. All of them have had an abiding love for their children and, above all, the mother of their children.
A real man makes the world a better place. A true man their wife puts on a pedestal allows it to be free to fulfil its true potential. A real man realizes that the little things that makes those around him will be felt long after he is gone. A real man understands that sometimes it is better to be happy to be right.
As one can be a real man and still be male? A real man can be considerate and I love his wife and still love football or some other uber masculine pursuit as mixed martial arts? You bet. Can a man be a man who is willing to invest time with his children even succeed at work? Of course it can.
The key is balance and learn to manage all aspects of your life. If you spend too much in one area of their life and then all other areas suffer as well. Decide now how you want those who love the impact and influence that you want to have on people. Don t be reactive. Put together a plan today, how can you better love your family. Put together a plan on how you want to make a difference in the lives of others. Remember, a goal/plan not written down and put into action is only a wish. A real man is someone like takes control of her life and not let life control him.
